At the heart of this audacious collaboration between independent watchmaker Zbioland and the wizarding world of Harry Potter lies a complication unlike anything in mainstream horology — a fully articulated 3D mechanical serpent that moves across the dial in sinuous, hypnotic motion. As the gear train turns and the movement breathes, the Basilisk stirs — a kinetic reminder that the most dangerous things in life are always in motion.
ARCHITECTURE OF THE AVANT-GARDE
The 46mm case is forged from Crystal Titanium Grade 5 — a material chosen not for convention but for contradiction. Ultra-lightweight yet brutally durable, its raw crystalline surface catches light like a fragment of something ancient unearthed. No two cases finish identically. Every ZBL 1019 is, in the most literal sense, one of a kind — even within an edition of 200.
Surrounding the central dial, twelve rotating gothic flower gears pulse in mechanical rhythm, each one spinning in concert with the movement beneath. It is equal parts watchmaking and kinetic sculpture — a dial that never truly stops performing.
